That"s my son asleep on the couch

Through all I've been thru in my
68 years on this planet¿ I can't
imagine what my son experienced
in his three tour deployment to
the sandbox. He lies next to me
on the couch, crashed out,
a rare occurance,, as he holds
tightly to those experiences.
I know past events drive
current ideology.
But the concern in my heart
can't keep pace.
