So, at long last.....I have assembled my sheet metal. I have the trunk extensions, crossmember and two rear quarters...all from our members! Thanks, FBBO.....

The questions. Should I just cut out the extensions that are in the car....or patch, using my (unobtanium) replacement extensions? I want to weld up the crossmember first..., then clamp up the extensions.....then patch the rear quarters using the full quarters.

The extensions in the car are only bad on the bottom.....the trunk area is in great shape....

Are your new extensions OE or are the aftermarket junk? If there the aftermarket junk I would patch. If you have OE or NOS then I would probably replace.

OE metal all the way
