Dear friends,

One spelling mistake in a hurry can make your life hell.

I wrote a romantic message to my wife while I was away on a business trip and I missed an "e".

Now this mistake has caused me to seek police protection to enter my own house.

I wrote, "Hi darling I'm enjoying and experiencing the best time of my life & I wish you were her!

that's sad, i can only hope it works itself out. prays for you

One of my best friends (divorced) has a new girlfriend (65 years young) he met online. When saying goodbye last year, I wished the couple well but called the girl "Ingrid" as I did so, and her name is "Gretchen".

Now a year later, I spend a few days with the couple at a resort. My friend and I are in the swimming pool discussing his stable relationship with Gretchen while she is sunbathing in a lounge chair a distance off.

In the course of the conversation, my friend refers to Gretchen three times in a row using his ex-wife's name by mistake. I did not feel so bad remembering my error the year before after hearing my friend screwing her name all up.

I just hope he does not repeat that error at an inopportune moment though. Maybe he should just stick to calling her "honey".
