Thicker rimmed and grippy steering wheel in same diameter as stock manual steering wheel

So while manual steering worried me a bit when I got my 69 Coronet, it turns out it’s not bad at all. I’m even considering a 20:1 box from pst, but I would like a thicker rim for a better grip compared to stock and I don’t want to use some kind of cover.
Any ideas that don’t cost an arm and a leg? Most of what I’ve found is smaller diameter which I don’t want.

Buy a cracked 68-70 rallye wheel and fill the cracks. Doesn't have to be perfect.

Then have that wheel wrapped in leather: Stitching a leather cover on a 69 rallye steering wheel.

All the wheels I've seen these days are smaller in diameter....imo, autox's comment is a good idea.

Are you opposed to cover because you are imagining those 80's plastic wrapped things? An auto upholstery shop can stitch up a leather cover that can be really nice. I have a 20:1 chuck in one of my cars and you NEED a big steering wheel.

A reworked rallye wheel may be the ticket then.
I do think of the plastic things when I first think of a cover, but I know there are nice options, I even did a nice leather wrap on a 2010 Challenger a long time ago.
I followed the directions for a nice stitch and everything.
I was just hoping for a nice ready to bolt on solution, back in the day all the FLAPs around me always had a selection of steering wheels in different sizes, but maybe not as large a diameter as needed here.

I wouldn't want a larger wheel than stock, doubt if one is made for us. The one thing about manual steering, do your turning when you are moving. I have 2 manual steering cars and actually prefer them .

Superior "The 500" was put in my 67 soon after it was new.
I found an nos wheel wrap and put it on, feels like 1967 plus 1 day.
Manual 16:1 steering, manual trans.

Red metal-flake in my 62.

The black wheels can be a little slippery, hence the wheel wrap, metal-flake are grippy.

I would do a blue metal flake if they had the right size. It could pay homage to how my Coronet was originally blue.
