A dealer told me a year ago that all vans were going to be rebranded as Rams and their cars would be phased out altogether in a few years.
This is what happens when you sell out to foreign companies.
I expect FIAT to start doing similar actions to CNH. (Case-New Holland)

I think the only thing that is safe are trucks, and the high priced cars above 50k. Everything else is crap.
The other unfortunate thing is the customer appreciation or loyalty from them is gone. I have reached out a couple times and they have told me that they are not supporting older vehicles. Mine is a 2016 Ram 2500.... I guess that is not new enough...

Sometimes the car just shuts off. Wait about 5-10 min. and then it’s ok. Had it back to the dealer 3 times and they can’t find the problem. Had to replace both rear calibers and rotors at 18,000 miles because they were hanging up. They replaced the front wheel,( don’t remember why. There was a minor recall for something but I don’t remember what it was. My wife takes care of it. Last week she called and said the radio quit working, 2 days later it started working again. The car only has 24,000 miles. If I was buying a new truck it would be a Dodge, but when it comes to cars, there are just way to many choices out there. (Unless I had enough money for a Hellcat, but that goes with out saying). Just my opinion.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like it will be a money pit when it's out of warranty.

I've worked on several of the lower-end Jeep products (Patriot/Liberty/Renegade) and the suspensions, brakes, and steering components seem to wear very prematurely. The Caravans seem to do better, but the housewives and contractors sure know how to abuse them, especially the trannies. They eat pads and rotors like they're made out of butter and the older models seem to come in for cat replacements a lot. Saw lots of issues with the computers from out-of-warranty Ram pickups that can get to be very expensive. Not too many issues with the Chargers and Challengers, though most of the local ones seem to be new enough that any issues would be covered by the dealer.

Dam... my youngest truck is a 1990 W250 Cummins. I guess it's a good thing I don't have to rely on them for anything. Thankfully, there's plenty of support elsewhere.

^^^^^^I have a 88 D350 Ram. Told the wife that I would rather invest 15 grand in rebuilding/replacing parts than have payments on a new one.Plus the insurance is lower than a 50+ grand new one. I'm happy with what I got.

Luckily we both drive company cars. And my primary car is a 93 Dodge Shadow, that thing won’t quit and gets great mileage. It’s even been totaled once by the insurance company.

I never understood why they took the Dodge name off of the trucks. But as a long time Mopar fan, I just don't feel any loyalty to the RAM name. Ma Mopar has been going downhill since killing Plymouth, and the foreign owners just don't care about our American brands. The last two front drive Mopar products we owned were very disappointing junk. (90's mini van and an LHS)
