Anyone know how to tighten the mirror glass on a 72 rallye mirror. As I drive it tilts down gradually. I just use the adjuster( passenger ) move it back but it is a pain in the ars. THANKS in advance HOWARD

If all else fails, put a couple drops of crazy glue on the ball and work it around a bit until it gets tight. don'ty let it set up to lock it in position, just to coat the ball.

If it's the same as a '69 B body, you can take it apart and the ball actually sits in a metal piece that is concave kind of like a socket for the ball. Hit the top of that piece with a hammer a few times and it will tighten against the ball once screwed down.

I wish the earlier ones were like that. My early twin post was all floppy and nothing I could do to get it tight - until someone put me onto the crazy glue idea - and it did work.
