Torsion bar adjuster removal (cross threaded)

I put my suspension on last year to get my car rolling to get it to the shop for body work and paint. I Just went to back off the torsion bar adjusters and they were froze. I remember when I was tightening them they started to get stiff like they were bottoming out on something (I know they don't bottom out on anything), so I stopped. Well aparently they cross threaded when I was putting them in (aftermarket adjusters). While I was trying to back one off I snapped the adjuster bolt. I can't use any heat because everything has been freshly painted and powdercoated. I was thinking of drilling a hole through the block and seeing if I could break it in half. Does anybody have a way to remove these adjusters? No heat.

Thats going to be a fun one. Can't think of any one way to do it. Might end up being combos of drilling/cutting/hot wrenching. The bolt and the "nut" are interference fit on the threads. Keeps them from moving on their own. May want to have a backup set of units, arm too, in case it gets ugly. I'm going to be putting some anti seize on mine when I do that job.
 
I’m thinking I would use my dremel tool with cut off wheel along the top of the block, instead of drilling. Hope lca is at full droop. A pic might have more ideas coming.
 
Why not a 4 or 6" Metabo (angle cutter) and cut thru the adjuster (not the bolt). Once you get it out of there, a replacement set isnt too expensive. Maybe even a Sawzall with a metal blade should fit up in there??

The same happened to me a few weeks ago. I used an air saw like below to cut off the rest of the bolt and the adjuster slid right out. Took maybe ten minutes.

Did you cut through the upper part of the bolt? I would think the blade would get pinched from the pressure on the upper part of the bolt?

Jack up the car and there will be no pressure. Were you trying to adjust the LCA with the car under load? That may be why the bolt stripped.
