1970 chjarger sb they came out easy. L on drivers side and tried numbers front and back. Stoppers off lca and uca jacked up lca all the way and it is lifting the car off of jacks. Tried with uca totally unhooked from car. What am I doing wrong? Watched a video and his fell right in . Getting pi$$ed off :BangHead:

Are the lowers dropped as far as they can? Adjusters backed all the way out? Odd part number on the driver side, even on the passenger part number facing to the rear.

yes and adjusters are out. Bars say L &R do I need to check number to confirm? Do I need to push down on lca?

L is drivers side, R is passengers, The shaft bolt is loose too? You want this easily moving up and down.

I did not see anything mentioned on the nut. Do you loosen that nut if you install new bars?

it's always the last thing I tighten, with full weight of the car...... but I''ve only done a few

am I remembering correctly?.....I really shouldn't be commenting, I just wing it

......I'm making a pot of coffee :blah: :blah: :blah:

Yes Shaft nut needs to be loose. Torque after the car is sitting on tires.

you're not cursing enough........ Jeff is far more qualified to answer questions

anything I put together was fresh, and loose...... and pretty easy

will they twist enough with no engine/trans?...... you may not be able to make the connection after they're in

Torsion Bar install basics.
If the upper control arm is installed to the body the rebound bumper needs to be removed.
Lower control arm shaft nut loose.
Strut rod to K-frame nut loose helps a ton.
Torsion bar adjustment nut backed all the way off.
At this point you should be able to rotate the lower control arm torsion bar attachment shaft by hand to slip the arm in.
