So I put a lift kit on my friends Tahoe. I told him he needed to replace the lower control arms. He did not agree. I took a picture of the torsion bar hex end and where it goes into the lower control arm. I would replace it.. But he insisted that its normal. lol

Question is.. does this look normal? Or replace lower control arm.

I'd replace the bar and the lower control arm. However, you can't fix stupid if your friend doesn't want to.

How does the other side look & how does the hex look in the rear mounts?

That is normal. GM and Toyota fit like that.
Same as a Snap-on Flank-drive socket.
Looks different than what we are used to.
Will never seize together though.

Looked the same on both sides.. But its very weird looking. I guess if its "the way they are" then thats the way they will remain. I've just never seen something like that.
