FedEx lost half my head studs when a package was coming back to me so I had to order a new set. They were delivered from Summit and have the right Trickflow part number, and the proper amount of studs, but the short ones are incorrect. The first ones that originally shipped way back when the 240's and 270's first came out were 2.75" long and hit the header flanges so you had to grind them shorter or grind your header flanges. From what I understood, ARP fixed the kit a long time ago and started shipping correct length ones at 2.5" which is what I theoretically received. However, the ones I got were shortened on the coarse thread side so they still hit the header flanges and now also thread into the block less than before. I'm not ok with that. Has anyone else run into this or am I just the lucky duck? I called Summit today but they were no help. They were going to try to ship me the correct dimension ones, but didn't have them available in their catalog of individual studs. At their direction I will be calling Trickflow tomorrow for help but was curious if mine were a one off, or has anyone else run into this?

What about arp head studs?

What about arp head studs?
I fixed my post. ARP is the one that puts the kits together for Trickflow. That is what Summit was trying to do to help out. They were just going to ship me 24 of the correct size from their individual ARP catalog but didn't have the ones needed in their list. I'm more curious if anyone else has received a kit recently and did it have the right size studs in it.

When the 240s came out, it seemed hard to get the right rocker shaft studs from arp, but then there they were from trickflow. From arp.

As far as I know that hasn't been fixed and they don't have any plans to fix it. You need to order 8 studs ARP AP2.725-1B to clear the header flanges. Unfortunately they may not sell to individuals anymore, you will have to ask.

Is this a 440? Did you try calling 440 source?

Thanks, I saw these on their site but they are bolts. I should be pushing high 700 or low 800's for HP when done so I want to stay with studs. I was able to find the proper part number today through ARP so I ordered them separately. Trickflow didn't seem like they had any interest in fixing their kit but I will still call them back once the ones from ARP come and I confirm they're correct to see if they'll consider fixing their kit. They said they had only heard of one or two people ever having this issue which I find kind of hard to believe. Especially because it was followed up by him saying this is why he suggests head bolts to people with Mopars.

So my studs arrived today and they are indeed the right size to use without modification. The part number is AP2.500-1LB
You can order 8 direct from ARP if you just want to do the ones under the header flange, or replace all of the short ones if you don't like the reduced block engagement from the ones in the kit. I haven't heard anyone having issues so I opted to do just the 8. Fingers crossed.

That was complicated. We should make a sticky about this. Glad you finally got what you needed.

It was definitely more difficult than it needed to be. It just gets so frustrating when you can't order a product and take it out of the box and just use it. They have a known issue, they have a solution, just fix it. Same crap ordering an intake from Indy for the 270's. There was so much core shift it took multiple hours to get the ports right. These are the same size and location they have been for 50 years. Fix your freaking patterns. I've been through the process on a different product and it's not hard to do.
