I don't think this anything like a common request but i'd rather ask than not,
In 2016 (i was 10), my dad bought a 1973 340 Roadrunner and a 1972 429 Thunderbird. The T-Bird was bought from a Getaway in Florida and the Roadrunner in a Toyota dealership in colorado. The thing is, the cars were then imported to France and i basically grew up with them. You really don't see a lot of classic 70's muscle cars and land yachts in rural france so they were always quite the special thing for me. I've been wanting to know about their history for quite some time and i have since started searching. When i talk about history i mean more stories about the cars themselves and the people who owned them than whatever head gasket or piston rings blew in 2003.
My point is, i've only known these cars for the better part of my life, but 2016-2025 is like a 1/5 of their lives, and i'd like to know what they represented for the previous people who owned them/drove them, who would now be aware know that the car they used to own is now running every weekend in the mountain and forest roads of Auvergne, France on 1.75 Euros a liter gas (around 6.5 a Gallon in freedom units), not the 70's gas prices but i can assure you the 70's gas guzzling-ness is alive and well.
My problem comes with the Plymouth, as i have no starting point aside from VIN history, it was sold directly by the dealership with no mention of the previous owner on the sale. I also don't have the name of the first owner, as the bill i have from 1973 only mentions the dealership who ordered it (Crouch Motor Company, 2700 Pearl Street in Boulder CO).
For obvious reasons the toyota dealership is not too enclined to help me in my search which i'm kind of glad they don't disclose client info like that but i'm also still stuck in my search.
VIN is RM21-H36-217515, where should i look next ?
