I got lucky ( I hope) and found a NOS turn signal switch for the 64 Sport Fury.
Question - should I partially disassemble it and add any grease to the contacts?
Thanks

I would not take apart an NOS switch. Does it move smooth right now?

I have one that was all gritty from sitting out in the desert. Barely moved. Cleaned it out and lubed it up, works good again. Lubed the pivot points not the contacts.

I was wondering about a little grease when I installed my POS aftermarket one. May be it would have worked better. Probably not. :BangHead:

Dielectric grease DOES NOT conduct. PERIOD. It with keep out moisture, lubricate and prevent corrosion but it DOES NOT conduct. the terminals must still make good metal-to-metal contact for conductivity.
