Anyone replaced the mirror glass and if so how did you do it.
Where did you find the mirror glass assuming you used new.

Thanks,

There is a spring clip holding the glass in around the edge.
I push in on the glass as there is a spring behind it and use an o-ring pick to hook the one end of the clip and work the clip out.
Never bought a new glass I always had a good glass from a pitted up mirror

As stated above some had the spring loaded snap ring and some the glass is glued.
I went to a local glass shop and they cut a mirror glass for me.Mine had the snap ring.

My original glass was cracked and the chrome was pretty pitted on the twin post for my 64 Polara. Joe Suchey sells a nice reproduction that I bought from him at Carlisle. I don't believe that I could have repaired and re-chromed my original for what the re-pop cost me. Just a thought.....
