I'm rebuilding the front end on my 67 Belvedere. The kit for my upper control arm has a bushing, with inner and outer sleeves. That outer sleeve looks pressed on the control arm, so is there anything wrong with leaving the original outer sleeve alone, and just replace the bushing and inner sleeve? Also, how do I replace the front sway bar bushing? I don't see how to slide the bushing across each end, and place it in that pocket it sits in. Thanks Richy.

Inner and outer sleeves should be bonded to the bushing itself, so no.

There's a tool to use on a press to remove the bushing (and sleeve) out of the upper control arms. Also use it to install the new bushings. If nothing else (what I had to do) look it up in the service manual, and fab a press tool.

The inner 'sleeves' just press by hand onto the shafts.
