Guys Please help! I have a 1970 V code Superbee with Track Pack. like many it has been a basket case moved from owner to owner, parts have been added, lost and changed. It has Dana 60 rear drum and disc brakes up front. When ordering new brake hoses up front, things are not matching up.. I am being told (but not from guys in the know) that the calipers I have are possibly A body. I am beginning to suspect K member has been changed in the car but not sure. Can anyone tell me what the proper caliper part number and what numbers should I should be looking for on the K member? does anyone else out there have a v code A33 track pack car that can take a pic of their caliper? it would be a tremendous Help to get this car OE complete again.

How bout you post pictures of what you have?

Does your K frame have a skid plate? A coin medallion on the front face? Or stamped numbers in the center face? What are the numbers on the one you have?

Define OE complete? Do you have NOS brake hoses? Everything else in NON OE.......Aftermarket/reproduction parts are not defined as OE correct.......These are loosely used terms in the hobby.....

70 was a one year only I believe the kelsey hayes unit for disc brakes roughly 11 x 7 disc......

Thanks for the reply you are correct, those terms are thrown around loosely. When I take on a project I always try to find NOS parts. If you look long enough and pay good money you can usually find them especially on main Item such as drive-line, wheels, trim, and engine components. In this case I am looking for it to be correct.. Thank you for the link to those calipers. Here are some pics of current calipers and of K member that I have I'm sorry that is the best I could get the center number.

The k frame is correct for your car. The 79 is the last two digits of the part number. 1970 440 B body with skid plate. The calipers are not correct. They are later slider type, used on A bodies among others.

Thank You R/T Boy for your reply do you know if the spindles would have to be changed in order to go back to 70 B-body Calipers?

You wold need to know if
You had large or small bearing rotors
small bearing is correct for your car
70 - 72 b body is the same spindle
You probably have to just find the
Correct calipers and pin brackets and swap them in

Check your spindle bearing diameter. 1.25 is stock, 1.375 is 73 and up. If you are after the 100% platinum look, then you need stock spindles with two piece rotors, and pin type calipers. If you want a looks correct at a glance look, and you have the large spindles, then you just need pin calipers and brackets. Rotors for the late stuff are more plentifull and cheaper.

Correct k frame.....can really make out the date stampings.....hopefully the fourth digit is a 9........

The calipers as others stated are not correct.....Below is a good example also...

As far as NOS parts go....With me your speaking to the choir.....I only deal with NOS or high grade original parts with my builds....

carmambo I know the feeling when you realize that your car is not correct . Bought 70 Bee last year and its a mess meaning someone built it to flip it. Last owner did not know and it was 800 miles away and yup I bought it. Trying to get it back to specs, good luck on your car.
