Value of custom cars like this?

Again, "taste" is relative, I think it looks cool. Not saying I want it or would buy it but I appreciate the work and innovation that went into it. Oh and I have seen much worse looking cars, some on a few of these forums but I don't slam someone for what they think is cool because it is their car.

It's not about "slamming". I've worked for master mold makers, one of the top illustrators in the country, and high end restoration shops. Professionals can't be bothered with blowing smoke up someones ***, it doesn't help anyone. It's either well done or it's not and they won't hesitate to tell you. I've already said the craftsmanship is extremely well done on that car, but craftsman and artist/designers are two different things. They had no plan with their custom work. That is the sign of a true amateur and it shows.

If you've lived in an environment where mediocrity becomes the standard, which is what has been happening because people can't handle criticism, then things "pass" for cool like that custom Charger. The Challenger Hellcat with the carbon fiber panels that simulate a 69 Charger is the work of a genius. They didn't bastardize the design like the custom Charger.

People who have never seen a 69 Charger or ever heard of one are drawn to it and recognize it's beauty. Not everyone is visually oriented. Some people can't tell the difference between a Camaro and a 'Cuda. Oh, well. There are people who wouldn't know good art if it hit them in the head. The 69 Charger is not for them. Works for me!:D

The factory designers got the design of the 68-69 Chargers correct & any attempt to deviate from factory IMO ruins it. The same goes for other vehicles also.

I have called some of these customizers and told them that directly. I don't care who they are like the Ring Brothers. They seem to have enormous egos and think they can make something this beautiful better...you said it, they ruin it. It's like trying to make Michelangelo's David better. An honest artist would have the sense to say: it can't be improved on.

Jay Leno said something similar to the face of a customizer. He was very polite but is absolutely right.

Without a doubt, THIS is THE BEST resto-mod Charger, bar none.

RC is correct, Pat's Charger is amazing, his attention to detail is off the charts, as is his workmanship. Me I would saw the roof right of that thing! Just kidding lol!
