i have the 67 ro 23 hemi scoop from vfn on my 66 nss car and its a joke!! it has several angle brackets glassed in the scoop to bolt it on, and my hood is functional, i ran my first 1/4 mile pass last weekend and the scoop blew off!!! i made quick repairs and bolted the scoop back on so i can run the rest of the event, you get what u pay for!!! 120 plus shipping sounds good to the pocket book but i got a much better hood scoop coming to me this week! just wanted to give u guys a heads up on the vfn piece,, mopar to ya!!

Thanks for the heads up! Let us know which scoop your replacing it with and how it works out.

Yup I have a $1100 glass front for a 62 nova sitting here and its crude at best.Hood has so many waves, you could wave at it and it will wave back.

Good ole' VFN, At it again, Bought once from them years ago, Its a garage heater vent now.

its a thin piece but kinda looks good and everybody liked it when i first got it on the car but this really woke me up! good thing it didnt hit the windshield!! who makes this scoop in heavy abs plastic?? anyone know?

Here at Sled City Fiberglass we have a warranty against blow offs and cracking. We have been making this style for about 15 years with no complaints. We don't have the little angle brackets, and we don't have the gobble -d-goo with the little threaded metal inserts either. Our scoops have a pattented bracket on the inside and studs for our "E-Z Mount System. You only need to buy one scoop when you buy from us first. Go to our web site and look in the customer gallery. Every car in that gallery has our scoops.
