VIN for a supposed 67 GTX

Found a 67 GTX for sale on Hemmings with a VIN of:

PS23L77157187RS​

According to my factory manual for 67's, there is no reference to the L. And I thought the GTX was on a 116" wheel base, not the 119" wb indicated by the P in the VIN. Can someone make sense of this? Is it legit? Ad says it has a 440 in it.

I would guess a 67 sport fury L code ( 440 super commando). The RS at the end is not a part of it.

Of the 12 that come up in a search, id guess its not one of them??

Probably a mistake, and the RS was later inserted. Should be RS23L77157187.

Yeah; Belvedere GTX with 440 Super Commando would be RS23L7.

First letter is R.

The seventh digit is 7 for St Louis plant. They only made b bodies there.

Does it have a fender tag?
