I am on my third Weimaraner and they are a crazy high strung hunting dog. The Visla looks similar, but smaller with a copper coat. They very affectionate an must be touching you or close to you at all times (shower...toilet...bed). My wife would run five miles a day with our Weims and they would sleep for an hour or two and be back up for more for me to take them for a run. My first male was 100 pounds and would sit on my wifes lap. This is a photo of him before he died a few years ago. Geist is my second male and he is the one laying down on hte deck.
I have a friend who has vizslas, good natured. Very high strung, just like all pointers.
It seems the dogs would always get a cut or a scrape after we hinted w them. Not quite as robust as a retriever.
I had a vizsla, lab mix, lived almost 19 years.... super smart dog,. Would retrieve anything, I would throw rocks in the lake and he would dive down and bring one back....never could get him gun broke though. ..
