Question: Just finishing the dash wiring on my 66 coronet and I hooked up the wires on the back of the volt/amp gauge. Then I pigtailed wires from that gauge to the auto meter gauge under my dash but the auto meter gauge is not working. Should it work or do I need to run it direct or by itself?

It could be the Volt/Amp gage (STOCK) is LOADING down the Auto-Meter gage.
Try it independent of the original (STOCK) gage

You may have it hooked up in Series when it may need to be hooked up Parrallel

Yea it probably is in series but how would I hook it up in parallel ? Also If I run it separate do I just get power from anywhere, or does it have to come from the battery? Thanks for any help!

"Pig-tail" off your PRIMARY leads to provide 2 NEGATIVE leads (-) to each meter and 2 POSITIVE leads (+) to each meter

Or, simply unhook your factory meter to ensure the Auto Meter gage is working.
