Voltage limiter

I really don't want to spend the cash on a new one if it is not the problem, but does anyone have a spare kicking around from a non ralley dash. Both my temp and fuel gauge are not working and after grounding the fuel tank sending unit I still get no reading..so I assume it is the limiter.
