Water pump and housing, best one?

Got a '67 383. Looking for the best place and price to pick up a housing and pump. Do local auto parts like NAPA sell the aluminum ones? Good prices on ebay, but..... anyone buy one?

I dont trust those castings < thats why I bought a Mopar performance and pump, good luck.

I have auctually bought a few things from KMJ performance...Bought a oil pan and windage tray from them...It was really quality stuff...The fit was great and the steel was thick not thin and cheesy...I think I got my pump and housing from 440 source..

To answer your question: No local parts stores don't sell the aluminum housing/pump.

Mancini Racing sells the Mopar aluminum housing/pump and 440source sells their set up. I have both. I have had the Mancini Racing set up since 2000(Hot street 440) and ran the 440source set up late last year(500 stroker racecar). Haven't had any trouble with either yet. I am sure there are others out there sell the same set up.

Unless you're concerned with the few extra pounds of weight,you're better off with the stock housing.
