Water pump housing plug ??

Dumb question. I need to get a 1/2 npt pipe plug for my 70 RR water pump housing. I try & keep as much factory looking as possible. What kind of material should the plug be made of??
Galvanized or stainless. Or does anyone have one available ???

Galvanized is probably 'correct', but there's a couple different lengths; not sure of them. Classic Ind. has pretty good pics&descriptions.
