Weight of a bare iron hemi head??

I just sold a pair of heads and need the weight of a bare stock iron hemi head for shipping quote.Anyone in the know??

I'm just guessing but I'd say 60ish pounds.

Al, if you can figure out the size of the box they will fit in, you can probably call up UPS or Fed-Ex and ask them on the phone. I don’t know where one is local to you otherwise I’d say stop in and ask.

IIRC, it was roughly a tad more than a dollar a pound to ship.

66lbs last time I weighed a complete one, so 60 bare sounds pretty close.

Heads are in my friends shop and played hooky today and went to a track rental at Atco,Have too much going on to take today off! I'll grab then tomorrow

i weighed mine their 74 lbs. with the valves and springs.

when leaning over the fender installing them they feel like 150lbs.
