What are the most valuable 68-70 b bodies?

For a non Hemi Car or Non Winged/Areo car
my list would go like this
68 Charger R/T 440 4bbl 4 speed Dana 60 car {my personal favorite}
69 Charger R/T 440 4bbl 4 speed Dana 60 car
70 Charger R/T 440 Six Pack 4 speed Dana 60 car
70 GTX or Roadrunner N96 Air grabber opt. 440-6bbl 4 speed Dana 60 car
68 Super Bee {is one of my favorites}
69 Super Bee N96 optioned 440 4bbl 4 speed Dana 60 car
69.5 Super Bee A12 440 Six pack 4 Speed Dana 60 car
68 Coronet R/T 440 4 bbl 4 speed Dana 60 car
69 Coronet R/T 440 4 bbl 4 speed Dana 60 car
68 GTX or Roadrunner RM23 the org. mid year HT {my personal favorite}, LL1 pref.
Dana 60 optioned car 4 speed or 727tf
only bad thing is that RR's it only came with a bench seat,
I like them both equally, albeit the GTX is worth more because of a 440ci
69.5 Roadrunner A12 440-6bbl 4 speed Dana 60 Car Ralley Green pref. HT pref. too
68 Sport Satellite 383 4bbl 4 peed Dana 60, HT pref. too
white top & interior, with bucket seats GG1 Dark green pref.

Albeit most my cars have been 727tf cars too,
I've had many 4 speed cars, Dana's in both Plymouth & Dodge B-Body styles,
that's the rarity seemingly...

I've owned them all at one point or other,
IMO the 68's Charger R/T's are the best, hands down,
from the front & back regardless of value...
The 70's were probably the pinnacle of the Muscle car era,
the only really desirable body styles were the Chargers & GTX/RR's
the Coronet's, Super Bee's, R/T's have a love em' or hate em' following,
it's the front grille I hear the most complaints about on the 70's
I really like them by the way, just not as valuable to me as the 68's or 69's...

68's are my personal favorites on almost every model of Mopars...
The market is finicky, depend on the condition & options
whether it's a Dodge or Plymouth on-top...
It depends on who's looking & buying, there's an *** for every seat,
depends on the *** trying to fill it...
I don't buy a car for it's value I buy it for my taste & excitement,
never ever, not for resale value, that's a really sticky road to go down IMO...

IMO over time the more well optioned Plymouths
will increase in value more {more in %'s} than the Dodges
mainly because they/Plymouth brand, are long gone now...

then any of the above that came in convertible,
when the top goes down, the price goes up

IMO it depends on the buyer, even where it's being sold etc.
I've seen basic near perfect 68 RR's 383 727 go for well over $50k,
{even if it is rare to sell for that price}
that's pretty damn good for a car that org. cost less than $3,000 new

That's my take on it,
IF IT WAS POPULAR WHEN NEW, IT WILL REMAIN POPULAR OVER TIME,
that may not equate to value thou, neither does rarity...

It seems typical that a persons car passion tends to be in a narrow year of production range. Usually matching their early driving age.:)

But clearly the late 50s to the late 70s is rich with really cool stuff to play with.
I do like going to shows with earler cars.(40s and back) but after the seventies the cool car world seemed to grow cold. --Is it just me?--Am I stuck in my past and that is why I saw little in the 80s 90s and 2000s?

My problem is I like them all, almost every genera & era !!
I'm a total gearhead & an enthusiast, well rounded, not blinded,
not just Mopars either, even if they are my 1st love...

I do remember the -Desoto Adventurer- well. My first car was a 57 Desoto Firesweep that I bought for $50 and drove the crap out of. I drooled over the Adventurer but I was poor and 14. They were high end classics from the day they were made. Much like the Hellcat is today.
th

The high end issues of any car will always have more value than the base models that share the same lines and look.
My 57 Firesweep was kinda like having a new Challenger with a six cyl.---BTW I have a B5 Hellcat and love it.:)

That's the fin-car I'd really want. I'd do some serious trading for a car like that.

I saw the replay of it last night...

This thread has moved as they sometimes do.
I would like to go back to the top and answer -maybe- again.
Looking at the 68 to 70 B bodies as works of art. --My eye is -first- on the Charger.--
There I said it even though I recently sold a C500 and kept a 69 coronet.
I kept my coronet for reasons other than the "best" looking car.
The term "value" is again not all about money.:)

All I can say is that the smiley faces are a little too large and bit gay these days.
You fellas have fun. I'm out.

The 1970 Coronet R/T Hemi Convertible, 1-made
14 total 1970 Coronet R/T Hemi cars, 13 were Coupes, 1 was a Convertible

OR the 1969 Hemi Daytona/ or 1970 Hemi Superbird

For me it's beauty. I like to go fast but I am into cars as a rolling work of art. I've never watched a full episode of Dukes of Hazzard but I loved the looks of a 1969 Charger. Always. When I saw Vanishing Point as a kid at the Sunset Drive in I knew I would have a Challenger. Seeing other movies like Death Proof made me want the set. The truth is, my 383 SE Charger is kind of a dog when it come to performance. High rear gears. But I can never pass it with out noting it's beauty.

I lnow Steve, I like certain cars too
But the Thread is: "What are the most valuable 68-70 b bodies?"

And I'm one of the few guys that would love to own a 440 Six-Pack or Hemi 70 Coronet R/T
(I own a 70 Superbee (383 car) now a 1970 426 Hemi)

I do love the 70 GTX
And I'd LOVE to own a Superbird....

So i was thinking (and to have some fun), and playing with the hagerty values site. (Obviously ignoring hemi and winged cars because they seem to be in their own class) what are the most valuable b bodies from 68 to 70 and why? Obviously a roadrunner is worth more then a satellite or belvedere. But whats more valuable? A coronet rt or a roadrunner? Or maybe a super bee or a gtx? A sport satellite could be built just the same as a gtx, even uses the same trim and interior so whys the gtx worth more? Dodge or plymouth? So for a specific example, a 68 charger r/t according to hargerty is worth 46k. there were 17000 made but with my 68 gtx there were16000 made and its only worth 36k. both 440 cars. worth 10 thousand dollars less when its a rarer car? Is it simply because hollywood like to jump snd blow up more chargers then gtxs so now theres less of them? theres a level of reason behind which are more or less valuable and theres a level of personal preference. in general, mopars are worth more then fords or chevys. And that can be easily attributed to the fact that a ditch was a faster way to stop a powerful muscle car going out of control then the 4 wheel drum brakes that were so common on mopars, so... for the b bodies that are still around and available, and to the folks of fbbo, what do you guys think is the most desirable or valuable 68-70 mopar b body. (again ignoring the obviously rare ie hemis or aero cars)
1968 440 trim Coro post coupe w/ bench seat, 426 hemi cars...twelve total......4 of those were 4 speed cars. Wets my palate.

Straying to beauty again, my favorite would be a 69 Charger 500....plugged roofline is so pretty without wing distracting. But i think the 68 Coronet(prefer post) is the prettiest of all. Do one of them with a Superbird roof plug.

The 69 500 is one of the very few cars I would trade my GTX in for, way nicer than the wing cars imo.

Did anyone mention a 70 GTX 440 6bbl track pack n96 car?
