it is going in a 30 over 440 with 10.5:1 compression

Cam with 241 duration, .484 lift, centerline is 108.

Thanks very much for any feedback!

If you have an honest 10.5:1 it should work well.

I would call Comp Cams and order a cam to suit your needs...Thats not a real big cam for a 440 but I am not sure what you are looking for......

Thanks for the replies. It's for a street motor but I'd like it to make some good power. 68383gts what do you consider a better choice- a higher lift like a .509?

Oh and my car is a 4spd with no power steering or brakes. Gears are 3.23

3.23 gears?? You are going in the wrong direction with the cam. .509" will want some deep gears like a 3.91. Forget about lift. It's the intake valve closing point that will make or break your combo. I ran a .528" / 284 in my 383 and it went from a 13.30 ET with 3.55's to a 12.65 with 4.88's. No other changes were made.

Thanks for the help. Yeah, for now the setup is 3.23's. The gears could change at some point I'm just trying to figure a few things out... but yeah 488's aren't what I am looking for in any way. I'm at the point where swapping the cam out would be easier than later if I am going to do it. I think I will see how it runs with the cam I listed above. Thanks again.
