What gasket maker to use on top plate of Indy tunnel ram

What gasket maker are you guys using on the top plate of Indy tunnel rams?

On my Indy cross ram I use the grey GM RTV. Be carefull,it will be difficult to remove. I cut a .060x.500 slot between the half so I could get them apart.

When I have to seal my Indy 440-25 crossram, I have had great success with "the right stuff". Other silicones have broken down with race gas.

I agree with Chris. Not all types of RTV work. I've tried others that stayed gooey as well.

Is the (right stuff) a permatex product??

Yes, comes in a tube with a dispenser like a rediwhip can without the nitrous oxide. push on the side of the tip and it flows out. Good stuff.
