This was given to me when I bought my 1971 Road Runner (N96). I don't exactly remember what it was suppose to be, or for what. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I was thinking it was some kind of vacuum canister to be used with my original air grabber hood, but I already have a small one mounted on the right inner fender, towards the front. It does not appear to be home made. I don't suppose there is anyway it would have been for my 72 rallye charger. If I remember right, there was a plastic canister for some type of vacuum canister with hoses attached or something most people just left off on the 440 engine. Any idea's, guys??? Thanks

Definitely looks like a factory canister but IDK if what the correct application for it is. 70 / 71 / 72 AG cars require a vacuum canister but I don't know what the 71's look like.

Here's an underhood shot of a 72 RR/GTX that's been advertised on here lately ... IDK if 2 shown in the pic at the link are correct but suspect they are for 72.

Yeah, my vacuum canister for the air grabber looks like that first pic link one. Also, i mentioned a plastic canister on my 72 rallye, it looks like the one in the first link pic, sitting just off from the radiator. Anyone know what that plastic vacuum canister was for? I used to know, but forgot. Anyone else any ideas what this big long metal canister would have been for? Thanks, Guys!

I t5hink that is a Charger hideaway light canister.
It is NOT an Airgrabber part in any year.

One of the mopar sites where I posted this pic thinks this canister is off of a ford truck mid 80's- to early 90's. I have posted a pic of the 68-69 canister (below) they claim is what the Charger ones look like. I have to agree, mine don't look like that.
