I removed the lower chrome trim to start sanding the car and found that there were no plastic clips along the body, only screws on the bottom edge of the molding. Is something missing? The top edge looks like it could be tighter to the body if there was some sort of clip to hold it. It has always had a gap on the front half on the driver side. If not I guess I'll just bend the lower flange to adjust the gap. Thanks in advance for your help.

the ones I bought were plastic rectangles...about 1 by 3 inches and curved a bit to accomodate the top of the moulding...I made aluminum 1 by 3 strips...drilled a hole in the middle of them and pop riveted them in. Worked fine...it's a hemi driver...and no ones looking underneath to critique

RT specialties has the clips you need, they are 40.00 for the set. You have to locate the holes with a water level and then drill a 3/8 holes for each of 5 clips. Once you mark the locations use a blue chalk line to interceptt he 6 points on the rocker where to mount the clips..

Thanks for the response terzmo and snakeoil. I had a feeling there should be some clips there.
So snakeoil, I know that you are working on your car so if you could please post a picture of the clips or even just the mounting holes, that would be helpful. And is the set of clips for both sides or each side do you know?
