What on Earth??

Anthropomorphism, eh? Journalist whipping out the $10 words there.
Some of us (me included) are guilty of that with our cars. :-)

poor little dude got put down, because some stupid asses

It was a nice thought on the half of the tourist, but sometimes nature needs to take its course. It could of possibly survived on its own. Park policy is to let the animals be not dependent on humans for survival

Nice thought if you know what you are doing and know you are right. But that makes me mad. It is about as stupid a thing as possible for those people who clearly did not know what they were doing. Did anyone tell them people that they could get really good pictures by climbing up on the grown ones? Or by sticking their heads in the gaping mouths of the YS grizzlies? Anthropomorphism?

What do you think that bison is thinking?

Those animals are naturally equipped to survive their environment in all forms but the very worst. From the pic it doesn't seem to be a blizzard and less than 40 below.

This is ancient news. I recall seeing it on the news several years ago.
Good intentions gone bad.

Just looked it up. That's definitely me, and my cars. Not sure if it applies to my dogs. They are way better than humans in every way.

My wife does it about the livestock on a daily basis. Always saying stuff like it's too cold for the donkeys or too windy...like they had an issue the week before when it was -20. Now it's + 24* out and they might be too cold, the poor dears...
