I found this '72 SE this guy had just sitting behind his barn. On original inspection it wasn't too horrible. The interior was gone and the engine had rat's nest etc. However after I towed it home and started ripping in to things I think its way more work than it is worth.

I did a basic rebuild of the engine and I'm about ready to fire it once I find a carb. All the brakes work, shocks are good, steers fine, glass is good, molding is a little rough but might be salvageable, The doors are good, I assume the gauges work and stuff.

Should I just scrap it and try to sell the engine once it is running for a few hundred bucks? Is there a desire for parts on this forum or ebay or am I basically in the just junk it phase?

I would be thankful for any input.

without pics its hard to say. But do not scrap it. Someone, somewhere is looking for that particular car and well buy it if the price is right. Hopefully you can re-coop some of your money.

sell it to someone, save a classic mopar, dont scrap it, im sure many would take on a heavy project

Ill post some pics, it is all torn apart. Besides posting in the for sale section, where could I even begin to sell this thing...? Im with you I would rather not scrap it but I can't sit on it forever...

400?

If it is a 400 I would buy the motor pm me, take care

consider posting it on Craigslist.org... just put it in the major city near where you live. Will not have to mess with shipping items for the most part since usually local folks check it out.

Post it here first and let some of us have a crack at it .... even just the parts if nothing else. Many guys are looking for projects - each day there are fewer and fewer to pick from.

Godspeed,
JON

How bad are the quarters? What colors and options? I'm always looking for a 71-74 that's "less" of a project than the one I have now.

dependent upon the month it was made, that 400 block may be a coldweather block cast from jul-oct 71.. e.g thick main webs
