What size tire for the front on a 65?

I am hoping to put a 27-28" tall tire on the front of my 65. Any of you racers out there with a tall tire?

I have 29" M/Ts on the front of my 65 Belve. N/SS with no clearance problems!

These are 225-75-15's that measure right at 27-1/2" and I have no problems.

It's a M/T 28.5 drag only tire. Plenty of clearance though if you wanted to run a street tire. My suspension is almost sitting on the lower snubbers and everything clears by quite a bit.

I think I may try the 225 75 15 like Ron has... Going from a 205 75 it should net about an inch and the car could use a adjustment up front on the t bars... Thanks everyone.. Love these cars...
