What transmission in 05 Hemi

What transmission would be in an 05 magnum that has the 5.7 hemi? I have an opportunity to buy an 05 magnum that had a dash fire. It has a 5.7 with 70000 miles. Just wondering if the transmission would be the 545 or the nag? Owner didn't know.

Would that be one that is loads of trouble to use in an old car swap?

Not an easy swap.

Doable, but there are "headaches". If you want a 5 speed auto, I'd use the 545rfe trans from a 2wd. truck. You will still have tunnel mods and cross member mods, but the trans will run out of the box. You could also use the small block 727 and put a Gear Vendors on it and now you have a 6 speed.

Thanks guys. Yes I knew about all the body mods. I was going to do a 68 with a 03 truck hemi but changed my mind and sold both. But still kicking it around as I have a couple more chargers and I still have one badly wrecked 03 hemi truck left. I just think the car engines look so much cooler. And I thought the 05 would be better than the 03. They might be the same but thought the 05 might be a better choice. Rambling here I guess but I usually buy these hemi 's when they come up. This one has only 70000 miles on it. I could have the whole 05 magnum for 2K . It had a fire under the dash but just some melted wiring.
