What was your favorite toy car?

One that sticks in my mind was a Jaguar XKE. It came packaged on top of a peanut butter jar. I was still a preschooler. I lost it but I thought we'd find it when we moved at age 5 but no luck. I had a split-window Corvette about 10" long. It was was made of tin and had a friction motor. I found one on ebay 25 years ago and paid $100, but it was in really good shape. I had a matchbox Ferrari I really liked but I don't know which Ferrari model it was. We covered toy guns so what cars did you like?

Hot wheels, all of them! I have had a few RC cars. I had a few top fuel style dragster cars that you pulled the string and the would race.

Mine was the Matchbox K-16 Dodge Tipper truck & trailer set - King Size vehicles. My childhood ones are buried deep in a box at my parents'
house....so I started buying more when they came up on our local auction site.

And for cars it was always the Dodge Dragster - Matchbox 1:64" scale - I also bought a few of these....and I eventually found a couple of rare variations of the Charger to go with them.
(both photos below are web grabs as my display case is covered with boxes of garage trinkets)

Hot Smoker is a really rare example.... and in the condition I have, it is worth a decent amount now. I also have the box for the Hot Smoker which is nearly mint condition.
