Ive seen them as a single snorkle (drivers side) and Im wondering if this is correct? I have a single snorkel off of a (same year) 2bbl 318. Has anyone modified a 2bbl air-cleaner to fit a 4bbl? Thanks for any help

I think they had dual snorkal air cleaners 73-74. I have seen them on Rally Chargers, Challengers and I think some Roadrunners. I don't know if its correct or not but have seen them.

I think it's the one with one long inlet and one short inlet.

The inlets are oval, not rectangular, like the 2 BBl units or 1970/71 style HP.

73 340 had the single snorkel. 73 440 had the dual snorkel. 74 440 had the un-even lenth dual snorkel.

Guy had a 73 340 cleaner 4-sale on here a couple weeks ago.

Nick is a great guy and has spend a few years gathering the info for his site. While I do feel that most of it is correct I do dis-agree with the 72-4B info. 73 440HP used the dual oval snorkal that has the same length snorkals that is not shown on Nicks site. Not the same as 72. The only 440's that I've seen a singel snorkel on is the LP motors and the HP motors w/ N97 noise reduction package which I think includes all CA cars.
