I want to replace the wheel opening moldings on my Super Bee. At first, I wanted to buy the Mopar Authentic Restoration moldings but then someone suggested the thinner Chinese made moldings that are easier to install in the event that they need to be tweeked to fit. So my question is to anyone who purchased these recently to offer up their opinion. Obviously I'd prefer NOT to give my money to China. Which ones would you buy? Are the "authentic" ones easy to install? Thank you.

I put AMD ones on my R/T five years ago and they still look like new. They were easy to install and bent around the wheel opening nicely. I may be wrong, but I do not think the Super Bee had the wheel molding trim. My Super Bee is plain.

here is pictures of a 69 A12 Coronet Super Bee with wheel lip moldings

I would try to find a very good set of used ones over any of the reproductions. No matter which brand you should purchase, they will require some major tweaking to get them to conform to the body. Just because it is a "Mopar Authorized Restoration Piece" does not mean that it will fit any better or worse. It just means that the wholesaler / manufacturer has went to the trouble to have it licensed for the sake of hopefully gaining more sales.
All of the A12 Super Bees came standard with the wheel lip trim. Otherwise, it was an option.

My 68 came with them also.
