I'm adding a tach to my rallye gauges to replace the clock and I can't find where the wire goes through the firewall. I bought a used wiring harness and it has a rubber grommet on it and for the life of me I can't find anything that size on the firewall. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure this will be much help, but are you sure its a harness for a Charger, assuming that is what you are working on? My 73 service manual shows the grommet at the fire wall then on to the coil for a Barracuda and satellite, and its grey wire maybe with a stripe, the other wire should be dark blue and plugs into a free yellow mold on the dash harness. Maybe someone with a Charger service manual will chime in as I don't know where exactly it goes through the fire wall.

Yes, but where is the hole located that brings the wire through the firewall. It has to have its own hole. Pretty sure it's for a b body. May be a 400(mine 360) but I think it should be the same. Looks just like the repros but they don't have the little paper tag. It only has 1 wire through the firewall which is gray and that transitions to a black wire via a male and female bullet connector. That goes to the coil.

I will look at mine tommorow 73, 400 4 speed RR, you may only have an indentation that will need to be drilled ( not sure) will let you know. Dennis

I went simple, since I'm using an autometer gauge down the dash, not the stock cluster piece... used the only cavity left on bulkhead at tranny harness plug, since 74s got the A/C harness running with groommet through the firewall.
