Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo is our nation's second-largest canyon. Palo Duro Canyon is 800 feet deep, covers 30,000 acres, and boasts 15,000 acres of trails to hike and bike to your heart's content.

I camped in an RV campground there a few years ago and hiked the trails with my daughter's family. It's a very neat place. But I wish I had known what happened to the Plains Indians there beforehand. Enjoy the story.
