I get e/mail from a barn find kinda e/mail.I'm not selling this car or promoting it's sale!!
That being said this is one of those cars I always admired! My friends mom had a 300 with the TNT 440 and it flew in confort.
When I can't climb in and out of my 63 anymore this is the kind of ride I could enjoy! 2 door "C" bodies are getting ard to find bit I would be fine with a more door!!

My buddy over here has a 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst...440 with 727.

5 Build-sheets and all original documentation...one of the highest/best documented cars of it's model according to a German guy who runs a site dedicated to those cars. :) I have never taken it for a drive, but I have briefly shifted it in the barn....a smooth engine. I have taken the Belvedere for a good run....even with a baby cam (1/4 Race ....lol) it goes like a cut cat. :D

That purple car looks familiar.
:D

"This car is 100% original, and has not ever been repainted. The dark gold on the car (two-tone), has never been touched up at all. The light off white cream color has been touched up by our clean up man, because after sitting for 35 years under a car port, scratches, lawn mowers going by, and more things do happen. We think his touch up makes the car look really nice, but there were nicks on the car that still could be seen, so if you're the lucky winner of the vehicle, this is how it presently looks. A 100% original car."

Well, something's going on with the paint match on the left side. I guess the lawnmower must have scratched the door jambs and underside as you can see that they have been rattle-canned.

"The original exhaust system was still on the car, but it was rusty, so we removed it and for $700 we could have put on an original factory exhaust system (unless someone wanted to soup it up), so we decided to just put on 2 mufflers and let the buyer decide what exhaust system he/she wants for this vehicle."

Translation: They wanted to put as little into this car and get it out the door to maximize their profit.

While the interior is very nice, if you look closely, the car is not as nice as the the flipper states. It needs a paint job & who knows what else. In my opinion, 20 large is just too much money for this car.

I legit WANT that damn thing. Wife would love it!

wowsa, talk about memories..that was the 3rd car i owned growing up.
a 70 2 door chrysler 300 with the tnt 440 buckets and console and power Everything.
i bought that off a guy who sold cars in his yard,a flipper.
and originally i bought the 1966 7 litre galaxy he had,but the motor was tapping when i showed up to pick it up,
and he didnt want to give me my money back and we settled on the Uss 300.
i drove that car thru winter, and summer, and had to sell it after the corvette show incident..lol
an epic story in its own, note to readers, never invade a corvette car show and do donuts around all the corvettes, the owners tend to get upset.
esp when they chase you afterwards in their little plastic fantastics and the old 440 just left them.

at any rate,i clearly remember Charles the guy who bought it in fayettville nc,
said he resold the car body to someone in Maine and they were going to restore it.
charles raced a 70s dodge challenger and wanted the motor i had bad,
and seeing as the cops were looking for me in that car,it was a sale.
i bought it for 700 bucks and sold it for 500 bucks to charles.
i often wonder if that car still exists today.

ps.if you read this and actually know of the car,
it had a Very Odd and limited partial repaint from the factory,on the hood and trunk lid,
and was visibly not the exact same shade, super close but not spot on.
it was suggested that my car was a former demo/showroom car...unknown.

The driveway looks clean there also

I can fix that for you. :D

So Kiwi..
Is that you in your 70 Inviolet 440 6bbl GTX?? If so,
 and
B5 blue used to be my 2nd favorite Mopar color behind yellow w/black, but Plum Crazy/ Invoilet has got me now.
His car is a to charger with a blown hemi.We do get a tad of attention when we pull into,,,,,,,,anywhere
Um...YEAH! Giant Sublime slab o' car with a SUPERCHARGED GEN2 HEMI can have that effect!

Hmm. Its a cool looking car. But to family big for me. And for the bids so far. Im quite certain I can buy a decent 67 GTX or a really decent resto project 68 Charger . But thats me.

IIRC this is a clone, but well done
even a nice done clone 'without'
the big ol' Hurst advert billboards slapped on it

I love the looks of the slab side cars,
the 70 300 HT is a cool sleek looking
I like a lot from the 67-71 eras, New Yorker, Newport etc.

I'd like to get one of these below,
but not giving up garage space my 68 RR occupies
for an 'old parade man's car' 19' 4500+#'s as of yet
1970 S-23 Sport Fury GT
a total bucket list 'ultra rare' cars
for any MoPar guy
I always liked the big full size boats,
problem is they would barely fit in my garage

70 Sport Fury GT & S-23 Advert. #1.jpg

I love the looks of the slab side convertible

& HT Hurst Edition 300's too
just no extra room, just not at that stage yet,
now if I had the room, not have to displace any of my cars/trucks
to the outside elements
I'd be all over it

or something like this

Why do I even LOOK ? Because we are a bunch of old MOPAR junkies ! Never happy with what we got thinking something else is gonna be better even when we know it's not. Just can't help ourself.

Hey Budnicks, Just some trivia, The Pure Vision 71 Newport was my car ! I bought it for $125. Gave it to Steve Strope when he was poor, broke and starting to climb to TV stardom. I heard he got $18K for it back in 2004.

Cool man!
More info on the engine!
Is your GTX a V-code?
Stock or ??
6bbl...any mods?
:popcorn2::popcorn2:
Genuine St Louis RS23 U code 440-4, with console automatic transmission. Air-Grabber car with an 8-3/4" rear and 3.23:1 gears. Genuine FC7 car with black vinyl top, black interior. Only one of two I have ever seen with the factory fitted Racing Driver's mirror. Power steering with cooler. Kelsey Hayes front power disc brakes and 10x2 inch rear drums.

As the original engine was gone, I upgraded to a newer block, with some tweaks, and added the 4-speed. The original trans has gone - both engine and trans are in NZ, but getting them is the hard part. I found out over a year ago where the engine is, but I sold the GTX in April last year....so the new owner will follow that up. With the 4-BBL and 3.55 gears in the rear, I pulled 312kW on the Dyno...approx 400HP. More tweaking and tuning happened, but the Dyno session was over by then. Car runs hard and is a pleasure to drive with a cam that now allows sufficient vacuum fir the brakes.

Sad to lose the car, but it made for a happy wife, a chunk off our mortgage, a new driveway, double-glazed windows, major roof repairs including re-coating, a house lot of blinds and play money for my A100 (read as new engine)....could not have accomplished my continuing renovations without letting the car go.

I have driven the GTX a couple of times since selling it..the new owner was really cool about that. :)
