Windlace by the foot

Looking to buy approximately 30’ of windlace for my 70 Bee, any vendors that I should seek out or stay away from?

I could be wrong, but they stopped using windlace about '66 and definitely by '70. The seals on my '69 were all either rubber or foam rubber, and no windlace.

Make for dang sure the wind lace diameter you might be choosing is real close compared to the oem...ask me how I know...

I am thinking that the windlace that @SPAULDO is looking for is the pieces found at the edge where the rear door panel butts up to the front door panel at the pinch weld. If those are the pieces that he is searching for, most of the automotive upholstery shops sell the vinyl windlace.

The windlace that was used originally is an odd size and I have not found a really correct replacement. It is a bit wider than what you find now which is more commonly used on GM products.

Finding good used pieces is not that difficult and can be dyed to the correct color if need be.

Here's the problem I encountered: OEM was smaller dia and new stuff is cheap cloth-lace looking as viewed. Was informed there was only one place producing them somewhere in MI, all suppliers purchased from - this was about 3 years ago.
