Is this a known issue with 73 chargers?

The bracket that goes from the motor to the wiper arm(for lack of a better term) is not connected and looks like where the bracket connects to the arm is plastic and broken.
Is this something I can get from YearOne and what is it called?

TIA

If I understand you post correctly, the plastic part that is broken is a piece that use to be able to be bought at a parts store. It was in the "Help" section. I think I saw apost about them somewhre before.

Maybe someone here will chime in.

Good luck and Godspeed,
JON

Wiper linkage bushings...$4.99 at the "Help" Section at Autozone. You will get a whole package good for all cars from like 66-74, I believe the ones you will need are the smallest ones in the pack. They are a pain to change, easiest way is to pull the whole linkage assembly out of the cowl, replace the bushings and reinstall. Good as new.

We were missing all 4. This is one of the worst jobs I've ever had to do on a car. I don't see this being easy if the the hood was off, the engine out and you were standing in front of it. My step-son almost broke his arm at one point. I hope these last another 35 years.

Dude tell me about it!! Replace the intake manifold and put on new carb, radiator, master cylinder, radiator, alternator, take out A/C, put new bushings in wiper blades...the hardest? yeah the damn wiper bushings! Been trying to get those b!#ch#$ on for months.
Guess I'll try taking out the whole assembly like 74 suggests

My wipers quit working about 20 minutes after we bought our 1973 RR...I was driving it home which is about 120 miles from where we bought the car...and naturally it was during one of the worst rain storms we had that November...I could not see a thing...pulled over the side of the freeway and my husband who had been following me drove it to a quick mart and bought a plastic container of rain X...he applied it to the wind shield with a rag a couple of times and told me the water would just run off...and it did...worked great so I wanted to drive it again and the next day we took off the wiper motor and saw right away what the trouble was, just like your problem...we just monkeyed around with a couple of things we had and reattached it and it works perfectly now...I think we ended up adjusting the hole a bit with a screwdriver so the wiper arm fit really snug...Marla
