Wiper Motor wiring?

Hi all

Got a 'loose end' I was was hoping someone could identify...

We got the new wiring loom for our 69 Sport Satellite that includes the wiper motor, but appear to have a spare connector (see yellow arrow in pic below).

We suspect it's for a motor with more speeds. Our switch on the dash is marked "OFF . HIGH" It's been a few years now since we used it so the memory's starting to fade, but i presume the . (dot) is ON, or LOW, plus the HIGH, makes ours a 2 speed.

So was there a 3 speed motor that uses an additional connnector?

Its a four speed wire harness conector. It connects to a backup lamp switch for a manual and neutral start switch for a auto
