I have an extra set of Door Wedges and I have looked for a sample price without any luck. I restored two pairs for my car and these are the extras. I had all the parts replated yellow and clear zinc like the originals were. The only issue is one of the tangs broke when putting them together. You don't see that and is doesn't effect operation. Any ideas on what I should ask? I don't want somebody flipping them.

That's a tough question. Since the wedges are reproduced, only a "numbers" or "concours" guy...who also owns a convertible, would be interested. $50????

I sold a set earlier this year for 100. They were decent, not fully restored.

JMHO get out of them what you need and want, and don’t worry about what the next guy does with them. Sold one of my chargers for cheap a bit ago, next guy sold it for more, doesn’t bug me, I got what I wanted for it. Money makes the hobby work.

Who reproduces them?
Can't remember, but here's an ebay listing. It is however, just the strikers. I put a set of reproductions on my car a few months ago.

FOLLOW-UP QUESTION FOR CHTAMPA --> Looking closer, I see your pieces have a "spring-loaded" component & look different. The reproduction wedges I used looked pretty much identical to the OEM wedges I took off my '70 convt. I "thought" the '68-'70 convts. all had the same strikers....I'm confused.

If you look at the door post you will see the other half of the door wedges. They are the same on all 68,69, & 70's

Profiteers don't make the hobby any better, they just make money as they suck it out of the hobbyists. They are worse than a used car salesman at a Tote The Note car lot.

Are you not trying to maximize the amount you can get for them? You’re doing exactly what the bad flippers do, only involving one less person.

If I needed a set for my roadrunner, I’d pay 200 for them.

I just lower the price a bit for someone that needs them. There was likely a time when you could ask someone their intentions and get an honest answer. I found ebay ones unrestored for about that price. That was close to what I would pay for them. So question answered, thanks.
