Woman quits in spectacular fashion....

I don't know that she filmed it herself, I don't see who was holding the phone, or who owned it.

As far as her “added” looks go,, it’s Walmart, do you really expect more? I’ve met some great workers with tattoos, piercings. Not my thing, but oh well. She wants to call out the company on the intercom, fine. Just lose the F bombs. Working in a toxic environment isn’t healthy for anyone. 4 more months!

Nobody ever ridiculed any of us for wearing long hair and bell bottoms. Funny how we've grown up to be old opinionated fogies just like the generations that disliked our choices.
I never had long hair or wore bell bottoms. I did wear cowboy hats and boots, before and after the Urban Cowboy. I’ve always never really cared how people look or dress as long as they were good people. I’m not a judgmental person, again as long as the person is not an idiot in actions or a bully. Never could and still can’t comprehend that.

I can't stand Wal-Mart's won't even shop at one. I don't care if have to drive 10 miles in the other direction and pay more. I avoid it like the Plague.

Don't know how old you are but once you get into your 50's, just stepping out and finding a better job isn't always all that easy.
Gotta love places that are hiring, want and love your experience gained after 30+ years doing the job, but want to pay dummy wages for it. Plus even though there is "no age discrimination" during the process of hiring or working, a lot of times there is just that.

I only have experience with one Walmart, and have mixed feelings.
I live in a territory that occupies about a quarter of all of Canadia, yet has a population of around forty thousand. Yellowknife is our capital city. It has a population of around twenty thousand. To put it into perspective, the territory is about the size of all of Texas and several states around it, combined. With the population of one small city scattered over it.
It has a Walmart.
The upside is that it brings to our small market items that we would not normally have available to us, at low prices. The nearest comparable shopping is an eight hour drive away. Shipping into here is prohibitively expensive, many places simply will not ship to here. So that’s the good. Need knitting needles? It’s Walmart or wait for two weeks to get them in the mail and pay at least ten dollars postage on top.
The bad is that it has made it impossible for small local business to survive. They simply cannot compete, and because Walmart carries literally everything they become the only game in town. They supply many jobs, but these are very low paying, and again, because they drove out the competition they become the only option.
What really bothers me, though, is that because it is a large, heated space in a harsh climate it has become a dumping ground for human trash. When you enter you have to run a gauntlet of the homeless, begging, screaming, spitting, and stinking. You enter a store where people have dumped their kids and left, like free daycare. The unkept little bastards run around, playing with the merchandise and just being out of control. If their parents do stay to shop it’s not at all unusual to see them examine a piece of clothing and then just dump it on the floor. Literally all of the clothing racks have a carpet of discarded clothing under them.
You make your purchase and leave, only to run the gauntlet of the unwashed again.
The parking lot is shared with a Tim Hortons, and resembles a demolition derby with jacked up drivers racing to get their caffeine fix while you’re trying to back out of your parking space and dodge pedestrians.
That’s my Walmart story.
Similar things around here but not to that degree....at least not yet but I'm sure it's coming soon. I have a friend that's visiting Yellowknife at the moment and will ask him if he's been to that WM lol

PLEASE tell him not to judge the rest of the north by the downtown Yellowknife core. The rest of the city and territory is pretty nice, but their downtown is awful.
He's pretty knowledgeable about Yellowknife and has been there many times over the years but he's never mentioned gong to the WM there. Maybe he's been there before lol

My son works Loss Control at one. Sees shoplifters daily, usually walking out with flat-screen TVs or monitors. Or, at least, trying to. And then, you get the idiot customers that take the powered disabled mobility carts to stores across the damn street! Sometimes they'll ride them back, and sometimes they are left in the middle of the parking lot.

His job truly sucks. He's looking, but his hours are currently pretty decent. That's about all that's good about the job. He laughed his *** off when I showed him that video. Says everyone he knows that works there feels the same way.

I can barely stand being in any WM for more than five minutes. I don't know if it is what they clean floors with, the unwashed odor on many of the clientele, or whatever, but I make a beeline for the exit after four or five minutes. I don't have this issue in any other store but WM.

That is funny...WORMAN quitting!
I think it is universally believed that some people will never be happy at any job. Some feel they deserve special perks, more money or something.
