Hi All, I have searched for a few days now and can not find the answer to this. Sorry if I missed it somewhere. I am repainting the silver around the dash cluster and am having a hard time removing the bezel. Are the gauges attached to it? The car is a 74 B body. Any help on the removal would be great. Thank you! Mike

I'm not sure about 74, but in 70 the gages are attached. You have to drop the column 2"-3" (bolts under column don't have to come completely out), unscrew the screws you can see, pull the whole gage cluster out...SLOWLY... making note (& marking) the dozen or so wires/plugs behind it. I like to start at one end & move towards the other end unhooking wires.

Once the whole cluster is out, there are some screws coming from behind the gages pointing forward into the gage faceplate if I recall correctly... or maybe speed nuts (?), then the gage face will come off. That's on a 70 but I bet yours is similar. I'm sure others know more than I do.

Thank you very much for the reply. I'll check it out this weekend.
