Yellow Stone Is Not The Place To Be

Hopefully they can clear things up in a couple of months. That's our trip this year in August. Everything is already paid for.

I've been watching in absolute disgust! I finally told my employer I was taking 2 weeks off and taking my family on the vacation I've been wanting to do for years... 1 month away and I see this! The plan was in this order, Badlands, Yellowstone, Tetons, Bryce, Zion and the Grand canyons followed by Mesa Verde. Don't think I can justify the trip now.

Save Yellowstone for the last part of your vacation. And with any luck, it will be open by then.

Damage caused is going to take a long time to fix. Park has announced North entrance closed for the season, would expect it to be closed next year also.

Besides repairing damage they also have to deal with GOV contracts and environmental factors. Can’t go in with bulldozers and change what nature has done, can’t even cut a tree down without a bunch of paperwork in the National Park system.

My coworker leaves for Yellowstone Saturday morning. Poor bastard doesn't know what to do.
I told him what we did in SD when it flooded @6 years ago on our way out there.
