I was thinking of going to the Zephyrhills Auto Auction Winter Fest swap meet this weekend as was wondering if anyone goes to these and is it a good place for Mopar parts?
Hi,i use to go to it ,i liked it there ,big swap meet ,not a whole lot of mopar things.I havent been there for two years so it may have changed. It also has a car corral and auction. If i was in the area ,i would be there
Same as normal swap meets- 40% Chevy, 20% other GM, 20% Ford, 10% Chrysler, and 10% other.
Last year there was a lot of A body stuff.
Auction is kinda interesting, if you haven't been to one.
Two years ago, we were decorating for Halloween, and we decided to make the Creeper from Jeepers Creepers since the movie was filmed in Ocala, FL. Last year we decided to make the Creature From The Black Lagoon as it's another Florida monster since the movie was filmed at Wakulla Springs over by Tallahassee. I've wanted a fullsize Creature since I built my first Aurora kit back in 1969, so making this guy was labor of love.
This year we're making a werewolf from the movie Dog Soldiers.
Very cool. My stepson and I have a tradition on Halloween taking turns wearing a goriila suit. The second year we did it, I wore a pig mask instead of the gorrila head and almost all of the 20 or younger crowd called me the "manbearpig" from southpark.
That seems to have stuck, as we now hear people talking about what we did in past years as they come up the driveway.
They have shows in Nov and in Feb...I have gone over 20+ times over the last 25 years I am only 30 min.away...Not bad but, like others have commented Mopar is like at all mixed shows only a small part ,but still a good one to go to..The Feb.show is much larger than Nov show ..They have a decent auction too..Rick 70RR
