0ne owner 1967 GTX restoration

Here are a couple of pictures. The one on the left was taken sometime around 1967. The other one is from today. I was trying to get the shadows and angle like the old Polaroid. Just 44 years latter!

The instruments should come back this week so I need to finish up with the dash and radio installation. I still want to rechrome the bumpers, replace the arm rest bases, window cranks and inside door handles. I also have to change out the rear arm rests, the original ones have ash trays in them.
Down the road I want to put date coded plug wires, hoses and replace the fan belt with the Mopar item and get the correct Mopar battery. I am going to work on detailing the underside also.

I installed the date coded plug wires, tan distributor cap and heater hoses with pentastar and part number. I also put in the tappet scliencer pad that goes under the intake manifold and took the paint off the number pad on the front of the block.
There is a good shot of the engine in the 1967 Belvedere brochure and the number pad is unpainted.
The instruments still have not come back. They have had them since January 10th. The website said five week turnaround.

was the chrome piece that went around the end of the steering column an option?

No, standard issue, if you look at the before picture it is painted black. It is part of the bottom chrome trim on the dash.

Auto Instruments in VA. They took ten weeks and I still am waiting on my glove box door. And it wasn't cheap!

You lucked out. G - Car had my stuff for just bout 6 months. They weren't cheap either. LOL They did do a great job though.

Got the instrument cluster in. They kept the actual mileage, 99913. I will get to see it "turn over".
