After being told about a cool Mopar by my brother and father in law in their neck of the woods I decided to have a look. It's a 72 Satty, complete running car and very, very solid. He knocked the asking price down to $3,800, I honestly think it's worth his original price given it's condition.

I didn't think much of it with all the irons I have in the fire right now until I went home and looked at my daughter (10 years old). She's been my motor head for years, attending shows, polishing my Charger and has always appreciated classics. She constantly tells me the Charger is hers so I showed her pics of the Satty, she lit up especially after finding out it's what Daisy drove lol.

Today we jumped in the Charger and went to check it out more thoroughly so she could see it in person. I was concerned about it selling before I could scrape up the cash but he took a liking to my daughter and pulled the sign and moved it back to his house and said it'll be here when your ready.

Well all i can say is looking at that little angel of yours, its understandable that man would hold on to that car till your ready to buy it. Great thread and thanks for sharing!

Her plans.... I'm so proud of her hehe.
Interior has to be classic and she's digging the bench seat. It'll remain green but a better shade of green, I'm thinking flat black stripes coming out of the scoops wrapping into the wheel wells (the owner has a RR hood on it), she wants a standard and nice wheels.

It has a very healthy stock sounding 400 in it and a new TCI tranny. A driveshaft issue broke the tailshaft case but I have one so no biggie. I'm contemplating a modern drive train but she digs the old school so maybe just EFI on the 400? I will not do a clone but will add some cool touches like stripes but no RR badging.

there are some good people & good deals still

best of luck & happy Moparing

Agreed...the seller sounds like a decent bloke, and obviously not just cash hungry. Well done on the score, and even better - congrats on finding your daughter a very cool project.
This should keep the build posts from your house rolling in for a few more years now.

very cool , I have three because I've got three daughters and they would just fight if there wasn't one each  the youngest has already claimed the roadrunner

Great score on the car 747Mopar . . . Glad that it all worked out and you've got your next "project" added to the list . . . SCORE ! ! !

Good stuff Dev. You are a lucky guy in that she wants to spend time in the garage with you and thinks these old cars are cool. I wish my boys showed 1/2 the interest as she does. By the way, has anyone ever told you that she resembles her Dad?

As a father I am surprised you are not steering her towards deep buckets with five points and a floor shift. My wife will not let me get rid of the bench seat in the 64... Nice car!

She is an amazing little girl, my best friend honestly. Trips to Summit, Canada, Carlisle, shows... it doesn't matter she's ready to go. Also got student of the month where under her likes she listed classic Mopars and cruising with her dad. I'm a lucky guy.

i like the green and the strobe stripe over the top.
Ultimately it's her call but I've always liked the hood stripe but the strobe over the roof is really cool too.
