I am curious how hard it is to apply the decals on a '73 clone?
I am looking at a complete set but not sure how difficult it is to do.
Any input is appreciated.

I just posted a couple pics in the 71-74 show them thread. I put those on with a friend. Very time consuming, but not really hard. Probably not as good as a professional could do but I like they way they turned out. Pm me if you want and i could shoot you a phone number and i could tell you how i did it.

roof and side are really a two person job with one about 15 feet away making sure it looks right. make sure the third guy is not blind in one eye... perception is more difficult i hear :D

Mopar Muscle just did this in an article this month. But I would almost hire a pro to do it, AND I DONT HIRE PROS TO DO ANYTHING! Putting stripes on the car scares me. The only time I hire a pro is to vacuum the septic tank, or to squeeze my dogs *** glands! **** I dont wanna do, or am afraid of ******* up!

I put my own C stripes on my old 68 Mustang GT (if you know what those look like). Anyway, they go down the side of the car and need to be straight they will look like crap. The method I used was to use soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the area down where you want to stick the stripes to. The soap will allow you to move things around or even take them back off if you f@#$k up. Works like a charm.

Yup...........

Get yourself a new plastic body filler squeegee type applicator, wrap once with a tac cloth or soft cotton rag (keep damp) and use to push any remaining water/air bubbles out from underneath the sticker.

I agree with the soapy water/squeeje.

Got my dream everyday car a few years back, A Challenger RT
and me and my 12 year old son did the side stripes.

so it is doable.

If you are doing the 50$ Rustoleum paint job, no question put them on yourself.

If you spent a few grand or more on body work and paint, no question get a pro to put them on.

It's in the middle you have to decide.

Stripes

Me, my son and a friend put mine on. Got them from Phoenix. Use soapy water and soft plastic squeege.

Some things you just dont want to screw up- Leave it to people who do it all the time and if they screw up they have to do it over again
